This page explains REMAP's referral partner model — a single, standard rate rather than
case-by-case deals. Current direction; the operational SOP is being updated to match (see the
note below).
REMAP pays referral partners a flat 13% — for the first 12 months of the client engagement,
not for the life of the client. One standard rate, not a negotiation.
🟢 Confirmed: the standard referral fee is 13% flat, for the first 12 months of a client
engagement.
The reasoning behind the 12-month window: if a partner sells REMAP a client, the partner is
effectively responsible for maintaining that relationship for the first year. After 12 months,
that referral partner isn't creating much ongoing value — so it's reasonable to ease them off at
that point, rather than paying indefinitely.
This replaces earlier framing that suggested a range (13–15%) or a life-of-client arrangement.
The standard going forward is 13%, 12 months.
The whole point of a standard rate is that REMAP can't run every referral as its own negotiated
conversation. A flat 13% removes that overhead — partners know the number, and REMAP doesn't have
to deal-make each time.
⚠️ SOP under review: The Referral Program
SOP (and Partner & Referral Management) currently describe referral shares as
negotiated individually, with no fixed number. That predates this direction. The standard is now
a flat 13% for 12 months. Until those pages are updated, treat 13%/12-months as current and
flag the discrepancy to the seat owner.
The flat rate holds for almost everyone, with a small exception band:
So there is room for the occasional non-standard arrangement — but it's the rare exception, not
the default. The default is simply 13% / 12 months.
The 12-month clock isn't necessarily one-and-done. If the partner drives a cross-sell — selling
the client something additional — that reignites the referral arrangement.
💡 The logic: the partner is still actively creating value by bringing new business into the
relationship, so the referral fee re-engages rather than staying expired.
The 13% isn't arbitrary — it maps to costs REMAP would otherwise carry itself.
A referral partner delivers the client as a Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) — meaning the referral
skips the marketing and business-development functions entirely and comes straight to the
closer. REMAP isn't spending on lead generation or appointment-setting for that client.
So the 13% encapsulates two things REMAP saves:
| What the 13% covers | Why REMAP would otherwise pay it |
|---|---|
| Cost of lead generation | The partner found the client, not REMAP's marketing |
| Sales commission / appointment-setting | The lead arrives as an SQL, straight to the close |
In other words, the partner is paid out of the budget REMAP didn't have to spend acquiring that
client the usual way.
