π§ Founder Direction Β· V1 Β· September 2026
This page explains the thinking behind how REMAP is built. It's part of the evolving founder
vision β still being finalised, so treat it as current direction rather than a locked final
statement. For the operational steps behind any of this, follow the linked SOPs at the bottom.
We don't sell projects. We embed specialists. A client gets an AI Specialist who becomes part
of their team β driven by a Project Manager, guided by a roadmap, and backed by REMAP's expert
bench β rather than a one-off build they have to scope, manage, and hope lands.
Think about the two ways a business can buy AI help.
The project way asks the client to commit to one large, scary number up front β "this
application will cost you $50,000" β and to describe exactly what they want built. The problem:
most business leaders don't know what they don't know about the technology. They can't scope it
well, the work drifts, and two months later they're questioning the value.
The embedded way eases them in. It starts with a roadmap they can track and an MVP for
$5,000β$7,000, building from there. And it fits a mental model they already understand: "I'm
getting a team member to do a thing for me." That's far less daunting than handing over a whole
problem and trusting a stranger to solve it.
π‘ The core insight: people understand hiring. They don't always understand commissioning. We
sell the thing they already understand.
Bringing someone on has a known downside: now you have to manage them. An AI-curious freelancer
hired off Upwork needs to be told what to do and constantly checked on.
REMAP removes that burden entirely. Every engagement comes with:
That combination kills the deepest fear in buying help: paying for someone who just sits there
waiting to be told what to do.
Technology moves fast. A project that feels safe and contained at signing tends to hit scope creep
and project creep as the ground shifts underneath it. A client with one big project and nothing
else gets bogged down β and the first delay becomes a reason to doubt the whole relationship.
An embedded specialist protects against this. The work flexes with the client's real, evolving
needs instead of being locked to a spec written before anyone knew what they didn't know.
Here's the part that matters most strategically.
Project and advisory work has its place β strategic time carries a higher hourly rate, and it's
worth selling. But it has a hard ceiling: it trades time for money. There are only so many
hours in a month.
Recurring seat MRR has no ceiling. It's a proven, fundable model β a pathway of 100 seats is a
genuinely solid story, and competitors like CAO Group already operate successfully at that scale. It
gives REMAP forecastable, stable revenue, which frees the business to keep creating value for the
clients it already has instead of forever chasing the next sale.
So project work is increasingly a way to get someone in the door β the real business is the
recurring seat behind it.
| Project work | Embedded seat (MRR) | |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue ceiling | Capped by hours | Uncapped |
| Predictability | Lumpy, one-off | Forecastable, recurring |
| Client relationship | Ends at delivery | Compounds over time |
| Role in the business | Front door | The actual business |
One thing, above all: poor delivery β quality that isn't aligned to the vision being sold. The
failure chain is short and unforgiving:
β οΈ Broken promise β client churns β reputation damage β new deals stop closing.
Everything REMAP does to systemise delivery exists to protect against exactly this chain.
A well-funded competitor could copy the pricing, the pitch, even the org chart. What they couldn't
shortcut is the compounding, client-specific knowledge inside REMAP's continual value-creation
loop β built around the Intelligence Tool and the catalogue. Solving a problem once, inside one
real client, makes every future client faster and cheaper to serve. That accumulated
business-translation knowledge takes real time to build, and it's what keeps REMAP ahead.
