π§ Founder Direction Β· V1 Β· September 2026
This page explains a core operating principle: information about value and progress is pushed to
the client, never left for them to chase. Current direction; for the detailed reporting cadence,
see the linked delivery SOPs.
If a client ever has to ask "what have you done for me?", we've already lost. So REMAP pushes
progress and value to the client constantly β proactively, aggressively β rather than waiting to be
asked.
The moment a client has to ask what's been done is a warning sign. It means they don't already
feel the value β and that gap is where the relationship starts to slip.
The chain is direct:
β οΈ Client has to ask β they don't feel the value β relationship at risk of cancellation β no
advocacy, no "raving fans," no referral growth.
So proactive communication isn't a nicety layered on top of the work β it's a retention mechanism
and a growth mechanism. Clients who constantly see the value stay, and they tell others.
Here's the counterintuitive part. A hypothetical client complaint about being "bombarded" with
updates is actually a good sign β proof the communication is constant enough that the value is
unmistakable.
The failure mode isn't too much communication. It's silence β a client left wondering, quietly
deciding the fee isn't worth it.
π‘ The bar: a client should never have to wonder what they're paying for. The value should arrive
at them before the question ever forms.
Communication is pushed on a regular, dual-channel rhythm. During onboarding the client is asked
their preferred cadence β most choose weekly. The standard becomes:
Delivered through both formal email and the client portal, so a client who never logs in still
receives the weekly and monthly snapshot directly β with a link through to the live dashboard for
anyone who wants more.
(The monthly dashboard and the full reporting mechanics are covered in
What Retention Means and the delivery SOPs.)
The principle isn't only client-facing. Internally, leadership shouldn't have to chase KPIs and
metrics either β they should be pushed up, not hunted down. "Push, not pull" is how information
moves across REMAP generally, not just outward to clients.
